(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Friday, May 5, 2015 at approximately 2:12 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division – Mt. Forest R.I.D.E. Unit, stopped a blue 2011 Ford Fusion motor vehicle for speeding 147 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr speed zone northbound on Hwy. 6 near Southgate Rd. 24, in the Township of Southgate.
Joshua Barry SPENCE, age 23, of the Municipality of West Grey, was issued a Part III Summons for stunt driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. His driver’s licence was seized and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on June 22, 2015.
