(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – On May 17, 2015 members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) checkpoint on Grand Bend Road and McGuffin Road.
At approximately 2:56 p.m., a red Nissan car entered the R.I.D.E. check. A search of the vehicle yielded a controlled substance inside the vehicle.
The two occupants, a 32 year old male, and a 26 year old male, both from London, Ontario, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
The accused persons are scheduled to appear in a London court to answer to the charge
