(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Saturday, May 16, 2015 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2007 Dodge Caliber motor vehicle on Toronto Street North in the Municipality of Grey Highlands after the driver was observed using a hand held communication device.
Further investigation revealed that the driver was suspended from driving.
Scott Christopher LEMOS, age 28, of Wellington North Township, was issued Part III Summons for the following offences under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA):
– driving under suspension (x2)
– driving with a hand held communication device
– fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
– fail to surrender insurance card under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on June 16, 2015.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
