(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On May 16, 2015, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash on Cow Path Road and Elgin Road.
Officers attended the scene, and determined that the male driver of the green GMC pickup truck had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered, and the driver registered a “fail”.
He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further breath tests.
As a result of the investigation, Travis HEUVING, age 21, from Thames Centre, Ontario, has been charged with care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London court on June 30, 2015.
