(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 17, 2015 at approximately 6:24 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Wellington Road 50 near 7th Line, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A male driving a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle was observed travelling eastbound well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 144 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Eric HILL age 43 of Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on August 19, 2015 to answer the charge.
