Billy Goat Stolen

(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at approximately 3:52 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence on Southgate Road 12 in the Township of Southgate in response to a break and enter and, theft of a goat.

Two residents in the home were awakened and, upon looking outside, observed an unknown male carrying a 40 lb Billy goat from the barn. When the witnesses called out, the suspect ran towards a vehicle parked on the roadway and fled the area with the stolen goat. There were no descriptors of the vehicle. The goat, which was stolen from an insecure barn, was wearing an ear tag #612.
