Just before 4:00 a.m. a lone male entered the Mac’s Convenient Store situated at 280 10th Street East, Owen Sound; threatened the clerk and demanded the money from the cash register. The male party then took a quantity of cigarettes from the shelf behind the counter before leaving the store with the stolen property.
The store clerk was not physically injured in the incident. No weapon was produced by the suspect or seen at the time. It is not known if the suspect had a vehicle in the area.
The thief was wearing a solid black hooded sweat shirt with the hood up and tied tight around his face which was also covered with what appeared to be a bandana, black with a white pattern on it. He had blue jeans on and black footwear. His height is estimated at 6’2” to 6’3”, weighing approximately 230 lb to 250lb.
