The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 121 calls for service in the past 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences CK15014325

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic related investigation.

On May 19, 2015 a Chatham woman contacted police to report that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend was harassing and threatening them. Through investigation, the daughter revealed numerous incidents of domestic abuse throughout her two year relationship with the man. The harassment has continued even though they separated a year ago.

Attempts were made to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday morning the man attended police headquarters and turned himself in. The 25-year-old London man has been charged with:

– Uttering threats x6

– Criminal harassment x3

– Failing to comply x3

– Harassing phone calls x1

He was released from custody pending a future court date of June 9, 2015.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK15015005

The Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Chatham.

Sometime yesterday between 9:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a residence on Baldoon Road causing damage to a door. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole an Xbox gaming system.

Theft in Chatham Township CK15015016

The Chatham-Kent police are asking for the public’s assistance regarding a theft.

Yesterday, sometime between midnight and 6:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Pioneer Line and stole the homeowner’s wallet.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Wallaceburg CK15015000

Around 11:50 a.m. yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision on Forhan Street between McKee Road and Langstaff Line.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $12,000.

A 31-year-old Port Lambton woman was charged with following too closely.
