(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On May 25, 2015 at approximately 9:08 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Highway 89 near Wellington Road 2, Town of Minto. A male driving a 2006 Chevrolet was observed travelling well above the posted speed limit and was locked on radar at approximately 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Terry WHEELER age 50 of Richmond Hill has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on June 17, 2015 to answer the charge.
