(Leamington, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit have charged a Leamington couple following a four month child pornography investigation.
On May 21, 2015 police from the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, the OPP Technical Crime Unit and the Leamington OPP Detachment executed a search warrant at a Leamington residence. As a result of this investigation, six computer devices and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized. Some of the items seized contained images of child sexual abuse.
Theresa Mary Lyn HENNIN, age 41 years, of Leamington Ontario is charged with:
Possession Of Child Pornography: 4 counts
Make Available Child Pornography: 2 counts
Distributing Child Pornography: 1 count
Jeffery WIGHTMAN, age 48 years, of Leamington Ontario is charged with:
Possession of Child Pornography: 1 count
The two accused were held in custody following their arrest and attended a bail hearing on May 22, 2015.
Theresa Mary Lyn HENNIN was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear on June 18, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Leamington Ontario.
Jeffrey WIGHTMAN was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear on May 28, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Leamington Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
