(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) – At approximately 11:15 p.m. on June 5, 2015 while on general patrol Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located a motor vehicle parked in a dark parking lot of a church located on Curries Road in Norwich township with a lone male occupant.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Cambridge area at approximately 5:31 p.m. on June 5, 2015. As a result, 27 year old Whitney KAY of no fixed address was charged with the following:
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 ~ Criminal Code
Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts) ~ Criminal Code
Possession of Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams ~ Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Possession of a Schedule I substance – Other Drugs (CDSA)
The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
