(GREENSTONE, ON) – On Monday June 8, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment successfully assisted with the Greenstone Bike Rodeo put on by the Thunderbird Friendship Center. The Greenstone OPP participated in a safety presentation as well organizing, cooking and serving a free barbeque hot dog lunch at the Greenstone Community Center during the Greenstone Bike Rodeo. This event teaches youth about bicycle and road safety as well as providing youth with a free bicycle helmet when participating.
Several local Greenstone businesses generously donated food supplies to allow the free hot dog lunch to happen. Greenstone OPP would like to pass on a special thanks to Daneff’s Food Market, Pat’s No Frills and Stewart MacIVER. Greenstone OPP wants to thank everyone who participated.
