Cyclist Injured In Hit And Run – Police Seeking Nissan Altima

On Tuesday June 9th, 2015 at 1:27am a 26 year old male cyclist was northbound on Lancaster Street riding on the wrong side of the road. A grey Nissan Altima was turning right from Wellington Street onto Lancaster Street on a green light and struck the cyclist on the roadway. The vehicle then fled the scene southbound on Lancaster Street. The side mirror of the vehicle was left at the scene. Police believe it was a 2002-2006 Nissan Altima. The cyclist, a Kitchener resident, was taken to hospital with a head injury and cuts and abrasions. He was not wearing a helmet, nor had any lighting on his bicycle.
