Fire at 300 Victoria Road North

On June 8, 2015, at approximately 5:23 p.m., the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 300 Victoria Road North. Units from HQ and stations 2, 4, and 5 arrived at the scene and found smoke and fire in the rear main floor area of the semi-detached brick home.

The fire was quickly brought under control and subsequently extinguished. The home received considerable fire and smoke damage.

There were no injuries to occupants or fire crews.

Traffic was rerouted as Victoria Road was closed.

The cause of this fire along with an estimate of damage is still under investigation by Guelph Fire Investigators.

Also on scene were Guelph Police, Guelph Wellington Emergency Medical Services, Union Gas, and Guelph Hydro. Victim Services were also contacted to assist the tenants who were displaced.
