(MONO, ON) – On June 4,2015 at 1450 hrs Dufferin OPP were dispatched to serious personal injury collision on Hockley Road between Airport road and 5th Line EHS in Town of Mono.
Preliminary Investigation reveals that a motor vehicle left roadway and struck a hydro pole. The driver of vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigators are on the scene.
Investigation is continuing and no names will be released as next of kin has not been notified.
**UPDATE: Dufferin OPP are now identifying the driver killed in this fatal single motor vehicle collision. Jessica SMITH, 21 years of age, of Alliston,Ontario succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Next of kin has been notified and investigation is continuing.
