(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On June 11, 2015 at approximately 2:18 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a fail to remain motor vehicle collision. Information was received from a witness who advised a Chevrolet Malibu just struck a parked vehicle on Main Street in Mount Forest, Wellington North Township and continued driving southbound on Main Street.
Police patrolled the area and located the 2003 Chevrolet with front end damage in a business parking lot. The owner confirmed that the vehicle was his and that no one else had been operating it.
David GREEN age 58 of Wellington North Township been charged with Fail to Remain at Scene of Collision contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on August 19, 2015 to answer to the charge.
