(HALIBURTON, ON) – Members of the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Dysart et al man following a traffic complaint.
On Saturday June 13, 2015 just before 4:00 pm, OPP received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Kennisis Lake Road in the Township of Dysart et al. Police conducted patrols and located the vehicle on Highland Street in Haliburton. The stop revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
As a result of this investigation, 45 year old Shawn EASTON of Dysart et al, has been charged with:
· Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
· Driving with Over .80 mg of Alcohol in his Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) CC.
· Drive while Disqualified contrary to section 259(4) CC
He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Minden, Ontario on August 5, 2015 to answer to his charges.
