(Ottawa, ON) – On June 15, 2015, at approximately 3:24 pm, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ottawa Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles on Highway 417 eastbound Rochester Road offramp.
As a result of the investigation, a driver of one of the involved vehicles was arrested at the scene.
The male driver, 46 years old Tun Zaw Moe TUN ZAW MOE of Ottawa was charged with:
Driving While Ability Impaired contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code;
Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code; and
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Autmobile Insurance Act;
The male driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Ottawa on July 16, 2015.
The OPP is asking that if you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired, call 9-1-1 and report it. If you see that someone is impaired by alcohol or other drugs and intends on driving, strongly discourage them from driving and call 9-1-1.
