(GARDEN RIVER FIRST NATIONS, ON) – On June 15, 2015 at approximately 7:05 p.m. officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 East, near Noonday Road. A jeep traveling eastbound entered the right shoulder of the highway and lost control.
There were no injuries sustained to the driver or two passengers.
The vehicle was towed.
As a result of police investigation the driver, Lynn Marie MACDONALD, 28 years, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with one count of Adult Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams as per section 253(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on July 27, 2015.
