(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Tuesday, June 15, 2015 at approximately 6:45 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt vehicle on Sykes St., S., in Meaford after the driver was observed using a hand held communication device while driving.
Upon speaking with the lone driver, the officer detected a strong odour of marihuana, emanating from the vehicle, prompting the driver to turn over a small quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia to the officer.
Tristian LITTLE, 19, of Pointe au Baril, Ontario was charged with possession of marihuana under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and driving with hand held communication device under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
She is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on July 16, 2015.
