Atv Stolen

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Quinte West OPP is currently investigating the theft of an ATV. The ATV was taken from a Finnegan Rd address in Frankford sometime between 3:00am and 7:00am on June 23rd, 2015.

The ATV is described as a 2000 Bombardier DS650LT, yellow in colour with a black painted muffler.

The Quinte West OPP would like to remind the public to secure their ATVs. A few simple things people can do to make it more difficult to steal an ATV are:

Lock or chain your ATV to something preferably off the ground. You don’t want to provide would be thieves with something on the ground they could use for leverage in defeating the lock or chain.

Use a disc lock. A person might be less likely to steal an ATV if a lot of effort is required to drag or move the ATV

Use more than one lock.

Don’t leave your ATV outside or unattended for any length of time.

Adding an alarm to your ATV can also scare off would be thieves.
