(Prince Edward County, ON)— On June 24, 2015 1:09am officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision on Melville Road at Whitney Road, in the Ward of Hillier. OPP were assisted by the Prince Edward County Fire department and Quinte Hastings Paramedic Services.
A single motor vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree. All five occupants of the vehicle were injured. Two occupants were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Three occupants sustained minor injuries.
At 1:50am OPP attended a second collision on Melville Road, where a single motor vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch. There were no injuries.
Both collisions remain under investigation by the OPP.
