Dogs On Road Damage Vehicle Tire

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is investigated an incident after being called to a Charlotteville Road 1, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, June 26, 2015 at approximately 8:58 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned motorist after they stopped their vehicle to avoid hitting 4 dogs located in the roadway.

Through the course of investigation it has been determined that a motor vehicle was travelling on Charlotteville Road 1 when the driver of the vehicle observed approximately 4 dogs on the roadway. The driver stopped, resulting in the dogs damaging one of the tires on the vehicle.

As a result of police investigation, 35-year-old Scarlett Lee HELMER of Norfolk County, Ontario was charged with permit dog to be at-large contrary to the Norfolk County By-laws.
