(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated an incident after being called to a Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, June 28, 2015 at approximately 2:56 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned taxi driver after arriving in Norfolk County.
Through investigation it has been determined that an unknown male contacted a taxi company from a Tillsonburg, Ontario address and requested that he be taken to a Norfolk Street South address. Upon arrival at the address the unknown male exited the vehicle and fled on foot failing to pay for the fare. He was last seen fleeing from the back door of a building running towards Victoria Street.
The male is described as white, approximately 20 years of age, 5’7, red hair wearing a blue coloured hooded sweater with stripes, carrying a nap sack and grocery bag containing wet clothing.
The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
