(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On June 26, 2015 and June 28, 2015 Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers observed the following Highway Traffic Act (HTA) offences which resulted in the driver’s vehicles being towed.
On June 26, 2015 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Portage Road near Bolsover. The driver, Paul FIELDHOUSE, 61 years of age of Whitby, was travelling at 117 km/h in a 60 km/h zone and charged with stunt driving.
On June 26, 2015 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 35, just north of Coboconk. The driver, John MULLIGAN, 27 years of age of the City of Kawartha Lakes, was travelling at 162 km/h in an 80 km/h zone and charged with stunt driving.
On June 28, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 35, south of Thunderbridge Road for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) related offence. A traffic investigation was initiated and the driver, Andrew TYE, 27 years of age of the City of Kawartha Lakes, was charged with using a plate not authorized for the vehicle contrary to the HTA.
