(Ottawa, ON) – July 1, 2015, The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ottawa Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 417 westbound near the Kent Street overpass.
Officers were called to the scene at approximately 10:50 pm.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries. The victim’s name is not being released at this time, pending the notification of family members.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
