(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Thursday the 25th of September 2014, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a disturbance at a residence on Highway 62 in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. Officers attended the residence where a male was arrested to prevent breach of the peace.
As a result of the incident, 28 year old Joseph MINNIE of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands has been charged with:
Mischief
Resist arrest
Assault police (2 counts)
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, Ontario. His next court appearance is scheduled for the 29th of September 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
