(Oro-Medonte, ON) – On Sunday July 5th, 2015 at approximately 4:11 PM Barrie OPP officers were dispatched to a report of plane crash. A small Cessna Aircraft crashed into Farmers Field in Oro-Medonte Township. The single engine aircraft experienced engine failure and was forced to attempt an emergency landing. While landing, the plane flipped over.
The 59 year old male pilot from Oro-Medonte Twp, and two passengers were not injured. The crash occurred at a Line 13 N, farm in Oro-Medonte Twp. Area Fire Personnel and Simcoe County EMS responded. .
Transport Canada has been notified of this incident and are investigating. Ontario Provincial Police are assisting in the investigation of this crash.
