(MOOSONEE, ON) – In the early hours of July 4, 2015 the Moosonee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance inside the Moosonee Recreation Centre.
At approximately 1:00 am officers arrived at the scene of a fight at a dance that was taking place at the Moosonee Recreation Centre. Officers identified a suspect who, while being detained, assaulted officers resulting in a struggle to control the male. Officers were able to affect the arrest and continue their investigation.
As a result of this incident, Richard HARRISON (37), of Moosonee Ontario has been charged with the following offences:
– Theft Under $5000
– Two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation
– Assault Causing Bodily Harm
– Assault Peace Officer
– Resist Peace Officer
The accused was held for bail and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, Ontario on July 6, 2015.
