(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Friday July 03, 2015 shortly before midnight, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a crash on Road 119 north of Line 15(south of Stratford), involving a motorcycle and a minivan.
Investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was travelling northbound on Road 119 and proceeds to pass a north bound Dodge Caravan minivan just as a southbound tractor trailer was nearly beside the minivan. The motorcyclist attempted to split the lane but collides with the driver’s side of the minivan, causing damage to the minivan and the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries as a result of the impact and was treated at a local hospital. No other involved persons were injured.
Peter Iain STEVENSON (23) of St.Marys has been charged with “careless driving” contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. The driver of the minivan was a nineteen year old male from the Township of Perth South.
