(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – On July 4, 2015 at approximately 10:20 p.m., a member of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol on Highway 11, Haileybury and stopped a northbound vehicle that was travelling at a high rate of speed.
Through investigation, the vehicle was impounded for seven days and Jodey DUFRESNE, 43, of Kirkland Lake has been charged with:
Driving While Ability Impaired – section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
Over 80 – section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
Race a motor vehicle – section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on August 25, 2015.
