Killaloe OPP Weekly Release

During the week of June 29 – July 6, 2015 there were 129 calls for service. There were nine motor vehicle collisions; six were related to wild animals.

There were no domestic dispute calls for service during the week of June 29- July 5, 2015.

THEFT

(Killaloe, Hagarty Richards Township, ON) Provincial Constable Mike Recoskie is investigating the theft of money from a residence located on Roche Street, Killaloe. Sometime between June 27 and July 4, 2015 unknown person(s) entered the residence through a window and removed the money. If anyone has information contact the Killaloe OPP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

DRIVER CHARGED AFTER FAILING TO STOP FOR POLICE

(Bonnechere Valley Township, ON) On July 4, 2015 at approximately 11:00pm Provincial Constable Jordan Bullis and Provincial Constable Jason Golds were patrolling Opeongo Road when they attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on a side by side. The driver failed to stop for police and further investigation led to Glen RHODE, 65 years of age of North Algona, Wilberforce Township being charged with

– Fail to Stop for Police contrary to section 216 of the Highway Traffic Act

– Drive Off Road Vehicle fail to wear proper helmet contrary to section HTA Regulations 316 (19) of the Highway Traffic Act

– Disobey Stop Sign contrary to section 136(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act

– Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act.

RHODE is scheduled to appear in Killaloe Court on September 17, 2015.

VEHICLE THEFTS

(Brudenell, Lyndoch, Raglan Township, ON) Killaloe OPP are investigating the thefts from vehicles located on River Bend Drive. Sometime between June 28, 2015 and June 29, 2015 unknown person(s) entered numerous vehicles that were parked on River Bend Drive and removed various items such as money, a phone and wallet. If anyone has information contact the Killaloe OPP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
