(Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 7 near Heritage Line just before 2:00am Saturday morning. The suspect attempted to evade police for 3km before finally pulling over. The suspect’s 2011 Dodge Ram was heavily damaged from a previous collision.
Robert William BALL (age 38) of Peterborough, ON was arrested and charged with:
Impaired Driving
Driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood
Dangerous operation of a vehicle
Flight while pursued by a police officer
Fail to stop at the scene of a collision
The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on August 27, 2015
