(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 10, 2015 at approximately 8:00 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2007 Mazda on Wellington Road 18 near the Second Line in Centre Wellington Township for a Highway Traffic Act violation.
Upon stopping the vehicle for the traffic offence, police immediately detected the strong odour of fresh marihuana coming from inside the motor vehicle. The driver surrendered a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance, suspected to be marihuana.
20-year-old Evan MILLS has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 21, 2015 to answer to his charge.
