(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment were contacted by an alert citizen after noticing a suspicious male at a Lakeview Avenue, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at approximately 4:07 a.m., an alert homeowner was awoken by the sounds of someone trying to enter their shed that was located on their property. The owner walked over to a window and then observed the same suspect attempting to enter the rear door of the residence.
The homeowner then yelled at the male who immediately fled north bound through the back yard.
The suspect is described as male, white, 16 to 18 years of age, slim build, wearing a dark coloured t-shirt.
Police are continuing to investigate and the OPP want to remind all Norfolk County residents that if they observed anyone suspicious in or around their property or your neighbour’s property to contact the police immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
Norfolk County OPP are urging all residents to ensure that their homes, garages, sheds and outbuildings are secured and locked at all times.
