(Selwyn Townhip, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to assist with a suspicious male on Lakefield Road Friday night just after 10:00pm.
Homeowners noticed a male rifling through their car in the driveway. When the complainant knocked on the window the male fled the area and got into a red pickup truck. The truck then fled northbound towards Lakefield.
Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to a suspect or suspect(s) in this case. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to crime stoppers.
