(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 19, 2015 at approximately 1:16 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2000 Chrysler van that was travelling northbound on Highway 6 in Mapleton Township.
Investigation revealed that the driver was unlicensed and under suspension and when he exited the vehicle, police observed a package in his waist band that contained suspected methamphetamine and marihuana. Officers searched the vehicle and located additional methamphetamine and marihuana.
48-year-old Gordon KEESO of Palmerston has been charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule 2 Substance – Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Drive While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on August 25, 2015 to answer to the charges.
