(PEMBROKE, ON) – Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the area of Miller St. in the City of Pembroke after an early morning call on July 19 regarding an intoxicated male causing a disturbance in the area. The sound of glass breaking was also reported. The male was located by officers and taken into custody for public intoxication. Subsequent investigation by the officers revealed the male had intentionally damaged two vehicles and a building in the area. As a result Gareth Donald MCKENZIE, age 19 of Pembroke, is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· Mischief Under $5000 – 3 counts
· Causing a Disturbance – 1 count
MCKENZIE was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of August 18, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
