(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – On July 23, 2015 shortly before 1:00 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision located on Highway 11, Harley Township involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck.
The driver of the motorcycle, Daryl SMITH, 50, from Etobicoke was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the pick-up truck, Garry BENNETT, 60, and passengers
Sherron BELANGER, 54, and Gavin BENNETT, 16, all from Hudson Township were treated at the hospital and released for non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 11 was opened in both directions at 7:41 p.m. but the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
