(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – On Friday July 24, 2015 at around 7:00 pm the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a possible impaired driver driving a green Chevrolet adjacent to Highway 6 near the swing bridge in Little Current, Ontario. Police attended the area and finally located the vehicle in a parking lot by a grocery store in Little Current. Upon checking the driver of the vehicle a strong odor of alcohol was detected.
As a result of this investigation Michael COLTON age 36 of St. Catharines, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following;
Impaired Driving Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle contrary to the criminal Code of Canada.
Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay, Ontario for August 31, 2015 to answer to the said charges.
