Numerous Impaired Charges Over The Weekend

(Peterborough County, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were busy with impaired drivers over the weekend.

(North Kawartha Township) – On Friday night just after 8:00pm, police investigated an alcohol related collision on Highway 28.

Gordon ROSSITER (age 66) of North Kawartha Township, ON is charged with driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood. The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on August 27, 2015.

(Selwyn Township) On Sunday afternoon just after 2:00pm, police were alerted to a possible impaired driver by a citizen who called 911. Police located the driver of the vehicle napping behind the wheel.

Spencer SASO (age 30) of Mississauga, ON is charged with having care and control of a vehicle while impaired and having care and control of a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood. The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on September 3, 2015.

(Cavan-Monaghan Township) Just before 4:30pm on Sunday, officers stopped a speeding driver on Highway 115. The driver was found to have been consuming alcohol.

Brenda MARSDEN (age 52) of Brampton, ON is charged with driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood. The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on September 10, 2015.
