(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 25-year-old driver from Windsor has been charged with Racing after she was stopped by police speeding on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway near St. Joseph.
On July 27, 2015 at approximately 8:20 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Chevrolet Cruze travelling on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway at a high rate of speed. The officer utilized a RADAR device to measure the speed of the vehicle and the speed was measured at a high of 150 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. When stopped by police the driver indicated she was speeding in an attempt to make it to the cottage prior to sunset.
Jourdan BANCROFT, 25 years of age from Windsor has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. Her licence has been suspended for seven days and her car will be impounded for the week. She will have to attend Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich on September 1, 2015 to answer to the charge.
