(Port Hope, ON) – Members of the Northumberland County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break-in at a residence on Baulch Road just after 3:00pm yesterday.
The home owner attended a building they use for storage on their property. Once inside they noticed a male rummaging through the building. The male suspect abruptly left and ran into a wooded area. OPP members form the Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine unit tracked the suspect to a nearby residence. Officers surrounded this home and eventually arrested a male that matched the description of the suspect.
Andrew Douglas HOSELTON (age 47) of Leeds-Lansdowne Township, ON was arrested and held for a show cause hearing. The accused with appear in Cobourg Provincial court today.
