Larry GAMMON – Impaired Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On July 31, 2015, at approximately 6:59 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an erratic driver traveling on Highway 401 westbound, near Dorchester Road.

The vehicle, a blue Ford stake truck, had been observed almost striking other vehicles, and almost entering the ditch.

Officers located the vehicle, and a traffic stop was conducted by the OPP West Region (WR) Highway Safety Division (HSD).

Police conducted standardized field sobriety tests, and the male driver was subsequently arrested for impaired driving. He was transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for a Drug Recognition Evaluator (DRE) test.

As a result of the police investigation, 62-year-old Larry GAMMON, from London, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (drug), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on September 8, 2015.
