Vehicle Surfing Prompts Call To Police

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – Members of the County of Brant, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has received a complaint of vehicle surfing which took place at a Blossom Avenue, County of Brant, Ontario address.

The OPP received a call from a concerned community member after observing a youth riding on the hood of a motor vehicle in the area of Blossom Avenue and Old Onondaga Road West.

Vehicle surfing is an illegal stunt where people pretend to ride on the exterior of a moving car as if they were surfing a wave. This appears to be a growing phenomenon among teenagers and one that poses a grave danger” to safety.

The OPP want to ensure that this activity does not continue and that drivers of motor vehicles found to be engaging in this activity
