(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Saturday, August 8, 2015 at approximately 11:12 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2012 Mercedes vehicle on Hwy. 10 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands after a concerned citizen called police reporting that the vehicle was weaving all over the roadway at a high rate of speed.
The driver of the Mercedes had been drinking alcohol and was subsequently given a roadside breath test which resulted in the “warn” range.
A 35-year old male from Vaughan, Ontario was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension. A sober passenger in the vehicle was able to drive the vehicle from the scene.
Grey County OPP encourage citizens to report drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs by calling the OPP or their local police service.
