Rocks Thrown From Overpass

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant Detachment is seeking the public’s assistance after police were called to investigate an incident at a Highway 403, Brant County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at approximately 8:37 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned motorist after a male was observed throwing rocks off the overpass onto Highway 403 at West Street located in the City of Brantford, Ontario.

At approximately 10:21 p.m., police received another call from concerned motorists after they observed unknowns throwing rocks off the overpass at the same location.

No injuries were reported in either incident however one of the vehicles was struck by a rock startling the driver.

The suspect is being described as a male, wearing a dark coloured t-shirt, carrying a back pack.

Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. This is a very dangerous act that had the potential to cause a collision and injury to the operator of a vehicle or another innocent motorist travelling on the Highway.
