(KINGSTON, ON) – On July 27, 2015 the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad was contacted in regards to a death of a federal inmate at Collins Bay Institution, Kingston, ON. John James MacDONALD, 55 of Toronto, was the victim of a homicide.
As a result of the investigation by the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad, with the assistance of Correctional Service Canada, under the direction of Detective Inspector Jim Gorry of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch, 2 inmates have been charged.
1. Nathan SACHS, 21 is charged with Second Degree Murder and
2. David Russell TANNER, 31 is charged with Accessory After the Fact.
