(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Friday August 21, 2015, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a Havelock Ave. South resident advising that his home had been broken into.
Investigation revealed that sometime between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday August 20, 2015, while the homeowners were away, an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence by means of an open window after forcing out the screen. The home was searched through and a small amount of cash as well as jewellery was removed.
The jewellery consists of numerous gold earrings, an ankle bracelet and a gold ring with a diamond.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information about this break-in to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-8000-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000
Residents are urged to lock their doors and windows, even if only stepping out for a short period of time. Remember if you spot suspicious activity in your neighbourhood report it immediately.
