(BELLEVILLE, ON)- On Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 at 6:25 a.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a report of a vehicle all over the road travelling eastbound on Highway 401 from Walbridge-Loyalist Road in Belleville.
The suspect vehicle, a black Volkswagen convertible, side swiped a tractor trailer and continued travelling eastbound at varying speeds between 60 km/h – 120 km/h. Police located the vehicle near the Marysville Road exit and performed a rolling road block in order to stop the vehicle.
Charged with Impaired Driving, Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample, and Failing to Stop at the Scene of an Accident, contrary to the Criminal Code is 50 year-old Maureen POWER of Ottawa.
POWER is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on September 15th.
